Claudine Hellmuth recently created these illustrations for Smart car‘s global online project, Smart Urban Stage . The project deals with the concept of the Future of the City, and as part of this, pioneers from metropolises around the world are asked to question the status quo…and in turn, artists working in various disciplines create a visual to address the question.  The following pieces were created as a response to a question Claudine was asked by Alexander Mankowsky, a Social and Technology Researcher at Daimler AG.

The question:

“The world is changing. Are there visionary
images that express or defines this age of
change? What do they show when it comes to
resources, mobility or quality of life?
Can we discover a new aesthetic?”

Claudine’s answer and illustrations:

“Without changing our habits
we will no longer have resources,
mobility and quality of life.”
