Martha Rich for The Principal Financial Group – #SeeYourRetirement

Our acclaimed Artist and Typographer, Martha Rich, was recently commissioned by Principal Financial Group to do a series of paintings to illustrate their campaign: #SeeYouRetirement.  Martha’s work plays with the the notion of escape that retirement can represent: a cowboy character seems to be arriving in the midst of a prairie and the signage surrounding the open road lays out some novel options for the future: cake, poodles, and painting– sounds pretty good to me!  These images capture the essence of retirement as an entrance into an infinite vacation.  Martha’s work is full of color and movement that uniquely showcases this campaign’s hashtag.
